Members Health Plan NJ — A Better Health Plan Experience For Our Members

APEHP has changed our name to Members Health Plan NJ and we have selected Aetna as our new health plan administrator. This decision is part of our ongoing customer-focused efforts to improve the quality of services for every member and dependent.

Our transition from Cigna/QualCare to Aetna will continue over the next few months and will take effect beginning October 1, 2019. This site will serve as a resource to keep you up to date on the seamless transition process, provide information about how this change will affect you, what it means for your company and what to expect going forward.

Why switch?

Members Health Plan NJ selected a plan administrator that would bring quality  services and resources that focused on our members  while offering them with a  comprehensive network of providers, services and resources.  Aetna is known for the quality of their programs and outstanding customers service.  Some of the exclusive benefits our members will receive include:

When will our coverage change?

The seamless transition will take effect beginning October 1, 2019.  Members with a July 1 renewal will have the opportunity to continue with the same plan with no rate changes until Oct.1, 2019 when they will  transition to Aetna.  All other members will transition on Oct. 1, 2019 or Jan. 1, 2020.

What do I need to know now?

There will be changes in ID Cards, plan numbers, rates, benefits, on-boarding kits and other items. We will provide information about these changes as they become available.
